That was one of the topics of discussion for Amy and I in our phone conversation on Friday, April 1st, 2005.
"I'm nervous"
"Why?"
"Because tomorrow, our relationship will change forever."
"That's true, but that can be a good thing. We can't move this relationship forward if we don't meet [after two weeks of e-mail and phone conversations.]"
And so it was. The agreed upon time was 4 p.m. The agreed upon place was The Coffee Bean at the District @ Green Valley Ranch. I'll never forget walking up the alleyway, seeing her sitting there and meeting to hug. That first date lasted seven hours, and then we talked for another three hours the next night.
And so, it been a year since that first date. In that time, we met each other's families, bought a house together, became engaged and moved in together. It's been quite a year, and I thank everyone for their help along the way.
For those with sensitive stomachs, you may want stop here.
Amy, I love you more and more every single day. You continue to amaze me. I love you and can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you.

Rather than skeeve everyone out with the mushiest response in the world, I will simply state that this past year has taught me huge amounts about who I am and who I want to be -- and all answers lead to sharing a life with you. Happy Anniversary Ken, I lov eyou.
Okay you guys... this is soooo damn cute and I am so happy for you. For two people to find each other and be this happy - it takes a lot of work, friendship between you and open hearts. I am looking forward to watching you grow old together.
