Updates

  1. Registering is complete! Yahooo -- no more shopping with a little gun in hand. Though it was sweet when Ken pointed it at me and said I want one of YOU!
  2. Pool is finished and cool, and usable -- we both have the pink shoulders and noses to prove it.
  3. Honeymoon decision is 90% made. Ken will finalize the decision when he talks with the travel agent today. Looks like a distant destination ... maaaan.
  4. Step one of the invitations is complete -- ribboning. The envelopes will go to the calligrapher by Wednesday, and when we get them back, we will begin with the folding and stuffing -- my wedding party ROCKS!
  5. We went to a party at our friend's place on Saturday night. We had such a good time. It was nice to be with other couples and not be the one single person there, which was a regular thing for both of us in the pre-US days. The new friends (Casey and Jennifer), we are finding, are not only cool in and of themselves, but we liked THEIR friends too. We even invited a few of them to come to our BBQ thing this weekend.

I blogged a few days ago about how things move on you feel left behind. Well, one more of Ken's friends is flying the coop. Seems like our circle of friends that are local is getting smaller and smaller. Makes me sad, and making new friends as an adult is not such an easy thing to do -- life kind of gets in the way. We are branching out and meeting new people, though. AND taking extra good care of the friends we still have in town -- "make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold..."

Never fear! You have new friends here in the city, even if they are in bloggerland!
