Packing

The time has come to pack up my house as we prepare to move in the next couple of weeks. Ken's has been done for about a month. We started in my office yesterday. It is more of a catch all room than my office, or Ken's office any more. It is full of all sorts of history, paperwork and, let's face it -- garbage! Going through the room, I was confronted with a few items that I had forgotten all about. Pictures of old " dating experiences", cards to and from past relationships, and other stuff of the like. Whereas as first I was compelled to keep some of it, in the end, it ended up where it belonged -- either in the shredder or the garbage can. I have a past, this is true. But there is no need to hold on to it, I decided. I have a great, bright, happy and healthy present and future -- why hang on to all that old stuff that does nothing but bring up icky feelings? So as we attempt to finish the office packing today, I am filled with a sense of accomplishment on so many levels. Most of all, though, for the life Ken and I have built and continue to build.

Speaking of building -- we signed the papers on the HOUSE on Thursday, and will be picking up the keys this Tuesday. How cool!?

And somewhere in between the packing, moving and organizing, we will be stuffing envelopes with the Save the Date cards! we picked them up yesterday. Oh, they do look marvelous. We are very excited and cannot wait to share all our joy with you!
