Decisions!

We did it! No, not that! But we did make a decision on our officiate for the wedding! We met with two lovely gentlemen on Saturday morning. During the first meeting with Reverend Phil, he started describing to us the ceremony, and then said, "At then I will introduce you to everyone... " Oh My God! I totally teared up and started crying. Tears of joy, mind you, but tears nonetheless. Then during the second meeting, the one with Reverend Peter, he all but married us during the interview. He had Ken do the vows, to show us how it would be during the ceremony. We both got teary at that one. Man oh man!

When it was all said and done, though, we chose to have Reverend Peter Billiteri marry us. I cannopt tell you why, but we both just felt more comfortable with him. He is a Catholic Deacon, which bodes well for Ken's side, and he is from New York (obviously so) which bodes well for my side. He was serious, and intense, while having a sense of humor, as appropriate. I would not describe him as a "warm fuzzy", but there was a familiarity that felt good to both Ken and myself. So we booked him and he is ours for the date. THAT was exciting!

Then I did more dress shopping -- Ugh is about the best I can say. I DID find a great line of gowns whose manufacturer will send the gown of your choice, in your size, to the store for you to try it on. All you do is pay for shipping. That way you get to try on the gown as you should. One would think more places would do that. In any case, the dress is being ordered on Monday. THAT was a good thing. I will not go any further, cause as we all know, Ken does not want to know about the dress before hand. But trust me, he is going to see a lot of pictures when this is all said and done (hee hee).

Photographers are next on the list. So far we are really liking Steve Keegan's stuff. I like his web site and he has been really nice to talk with on the phone. We still have to talk to the gal at elegant images and at JandJ photography and Fantasty photography as well. Everyone comes highly recommended, so it is getting tough. Time will tell. Check out the web sites, if you want to, and let us know what you think.

Finally, flowers are coming up for decision making. I have not given up on my periwinkle, but I AM looking for ways to incorporate it into some other colors that might make a more distinct statement. More to come on that later.

If you have the minute, don't forget to talk to us abous favors and check out the photo web sites.

Have you thought about combining it with a soft yellow?? That'd be pretty. :)

It's a tie on the photographers for me, between Keegan and Fantasy Photography. I like Keegan's style, but I also liked that Fantasy had the samples from Emerald Gardens. That gives you a real perspective about what your photos will actually look like. I liked that.
