Home

Things are moving along nicely this week, on all fronts.
We got the approval on the mortgage, which means our dirt, is OUR DIRT. They have graded the lot and are getting ready to start digging all the trenches for pipes and electrical and what not. The lot lines are more firmly defined, and it is really exciting. We will be stopping by today to finalize a few things on the upgrades and, of course, we will visit our little patch of heaven and take pictures. It really is a neat experience to be doing this with Ken. Very much "our home".

Wedding dress shopping, round 2, was not quite as painful as round one. I actually found a couple of dresses that I like and felt pretty in. Not sure if it was because of the "oh-shit-I-have-to-wear-a-wedding-dress diet" I have been on, or if I have just come to terms with a few things, but I actually felt bride-like as I tried things on. I think, though, that we will be staying clear of dress places until February or so, for now. But Teri and Shannon and I hit the stores with gusto yesterday and they were great. I just kinda wish my Mom had been able to be there. I trust her taste and her input is pretty vital on decisions like this. I will send her pictures and we will take it from there.

Today is a HUGE day. We are going to sign contract and secure the location for the wedding. Once we do this, there is no real turning back. No deciding to elope or anything, without it coming at a high dollar cost. Good thing we are actually getting excited about this little wedding thing. LOL. Also, today, I think and hope, Ken is picking out my sparkly ring. As you know, I am wearing his signet ring as my engagement ring. Today he is picking my diamond. Personally, I think he just wants his ring back. LOL... Guess it won't be a problem for him to get used to wearing a wedding band.

Anyway, he is calling me down for breakfast... more later :-)
