So much to do

As this week has rolled by, I have started to make my lists. Lists of things to do for the wedding, places we might have the wedding, costs associated with the wedding, who to invite to the wedding... lists, lists and more lists.

I have gotten some great quotes and information from a few places that Ken and I are thinking doing the wedding. One of my favorite places does not have our date available though. Actually, they have the date, just not the day. I wanted to get married on Oct 22, but since it falls on a Sunday, we are talking about the 21st so it will be a Saturday. Emerald Gardens is booked on the 21st, but they have the 22nd available. A sign?

Lake Las Vegas, though, seems to be where we are focusing our hopes right now. They have like 8 venues in the resort area alone, not to mention 3 hotels. All of these places have multiple packages at different price points. As we move forward I am hoping to have some things fleshed out soon. But for now, big or small, I am looking to the lake. Water, sunset, people we love and Ken by my side. That sounds pretty magical to me.

When my mom is here next week for Thanksgiving, I think we will go check a few places out as well as start looking at dresses. Ugh! Dresses!!! I know Mom will cry, and it will be beautiful, but, ugh! dresses.

We will write more as things progress.

They usually want you to make an appointment for even looking at dresses, you might want to call a few places and ask.
