Puffy!

Yesterday was dress shopping 101 for me. What I learned on this first go around:
  • Leave modesty at the door
  • Be prepared for sizes you never thought you would wear being too small
  • Keep your humor in tact -- some of this stuff is FUNNY!
  • Take your camera and know how the delete function works
  • Do not eat for 3 months before you go
  • Wedding dress sales girls are surprisingly strong

most of all... This is about ME, not my mom, not my friends, not the salesgirl... ME.

Maybe now that I have that part down, the next round will not be so, ummm, bad?

PS: Ken is UBER superstitious -- so I can't show him the pics of the dresses I tried on or anything. That makes me sad.

No no no... Ken sees NOTHING of your attire before you walk toward him down the aisle.

Can you tell I'm a bit superstitious too?

My wedding dress was stored at my Maid of Honor's house, and I stayed in a hotel with my Mom the night before the wedding. When I arrived at the Chapel I hid out in the dressing room for fear he would catch a glimpse. I was certain I'd jinx our marriage before it ever began if I didn't do these things. Yes, the silly things we do when we're getting married. You're only at the beginning... it is just going to get weird. But a fun kind of weird. I promise!
