Location, location, location
We started shopping locations today, for the wedding. Whereas we have only been to two places in person; based on the research I have done and what we have seen, it looks like we may have found our place. Do not get me wrong... if the Bellagio or something can come up with a phenomenal deal, then who knows. But in the meantime, I think it is safe to say that Emerald Gardens is the front runner in this race. It would be an amazing outdoor, sunset wedding, and then a lovely reception with dancing and good times to be had by all. There are two hotels nearby, there are things to do, and their prices are relatively reasonable for what we have been seeing. But, as I have said before, you never know what will come up next. The homework begins...

Yes...homework. It was fun looking at places today. My Mom couldn't stop talking about Emerald Gardens. We do need to do our own due diligence, but it seems that we have a winner.
What happened to Lake Las Vegas? I want to know more details :)
I have never been to this place, but have heard some really great things about it.
Teri, in a lot of ways, Lake Las Vegas was rather disappointing. While the ceremony location was fantastic, there were too many inherent issues with it. Emerald Gardens was gorgeous and simply a better value for the amount of money. There were specifics, but I'll let Amy tell you about that. But, we did commit to checking with the Bellagio to see how their wedding packages compare. There is sure to be a good value there (*tongue in cheek*
