But, I'm Tiiiiiiiiiired

That was me after three and a half hours of shopping at the Macy's Home Store! Yes, 3.5 long, drawn out hours, shopping for the registry, and Ken was by my side holding my hand the whole time. Who would have thought that we needed so much "stuff". Ok, well, maybe need is a strong word. But we did recently combine both of our starter homes and as a result have ended up with a nice hodgepodge of wonderful stuff. But there is something to be said about wanting to have matching everything, or at least semi coordinated everything. I had to keep reminding myself of that. It is OK to want a full set of matching dinner and serving wear -- really, it is OK.

That was just Macy's. I then came home and proceeded to set up our Target registry on line -- cause you know you have to have stuff in different price ranges -- I have been told time and again. That one is nearly done too. Then of course there is the Crate and Barrell Registry that I started with my Mom when I was in LA in Februay. I did not necessarily want to do that one, but I am glad that I did. It was nice to do that with my Mom and I LOVE the stuff that we put on the registry there. They had more fun and interesting things for the kitchen.

When it is all said and done though, it feels weird to register -- but then again, I am someone who feels weird when someone asks me what I want for the holidays or my brithday. Spending hour upon hour shopping to give somone a detailed list -- now that is plain ol wacky!

But it is pretty much done -- Target, Macy's and Crate and Barrell are ours, all available on line and in person. I have studied and learned well -- THEKNOT.com would be proud.

Further excitement is that we picked out tuxes yesterday on a lark. Ken in ivory on ivory with black tux, and the "guys" in black on ivory with black tux. All so sharp!

Finally, invitations, which supposedly take forever to have done, were ordered and have already been shipped in less than 2 weeks! Oh my God, this really is going to happen -- and at this point, sooner than later!

Looks like we are back in WEDDING MODE.

It's all smooth sailing after this! Once those invitations come out you can breath a little easier. Although there are still those people who REFUSE to RSVP and you must track them down and kill I mean get an answer out of them...why do people not pay attention to direction?

Ah, yes - Amanda, I second that. People tend to forget or not understand that you are paying per guest. So you'll play the babysitting game for some, just expect it.

On a positive note - Hooray! More things done! Less to worry about!
